How plastic surgery have negative impact on people and society

Plastic surgery is not something extraordinary for women now. Generally most women's desire is to become beautiful. But nowadays it is too much, and they just think having plastic surgery is not a problem at all. Also, even some men are having plastic surgery to become handsome and people pay too much attention to personal appearance. This is because the mass media strongly affects women's decision to have surgery by showing young beautiful actresses.

This is not only women and men's problem, even teenagers want and consider to have plastic surgery. It is unnecessary for teenagers to consider plastic surgery, there is a proble with mass media which made them to change their appearance. Their role models are mostly form mass media. They should know what side effects will follow them.

Women, as they get older, they want their face to be appearing prettier and younger than her age. So what they do is plastic surgery. But plastic surgery does not always consequence as beautiful, it could make people awuful. I mean not like a monster awful like Michael Jackson but it might seem as awful from other people's point of view. And another thing is that they have lost their individuality. Due to this, people have lost their individuality; people pay too much attention to personal appearance and people see faces before personality.

Moreover, people who have experienced of plastic surgery are addicted to it. They don't take it seriously about side effects of surgery. They think it helps them to boost their confidence level.
In fact, people who have done plastic surgery, said that it give them confidence for their life.
But people should know how dangerous and additive plastic surgery is.
There is a good example of how addictive of plastic surgery left an awful outcome of of appearance. As i mentioned it before, Michael Jackson, has an awful looking now. He never looked ugly before plastic surgery. He's done surgery for his satisfaction.
Left is a photo of Michael Jackson if he hadn't had plastic surgery. Does it look ugly? In my opinion, it looks much better than right photo.

Firstly, there is a fan lady (47 years old), who was once a very beautiful lady. But she wanted to be more beautiful. So she went through several plastic surgery and she became addicted to plastic surgery. What made her this way? This is because of our society’s supremacy of appearance. Supremacy of appearance is just like its words a thought that thinks appearance is the most important.

Secondly, Side effects and accidents of plastic surgery are increasing. Therefore, fatal wounds are increasing now which lead to death. The biggest injury is death. Occasionally, when doing general anesthesia, before receiving major surgery, there are instances that someone doesn't wake up (come out) of the anesthesia and then dies. Some people might have allergic reaction to the anesthetic. Not only a medical problem affect to people, mistakes by surgeons are dangerous. Side effects and accidents that occur in operation are very serious. For example, nose operation causes inflammation, disharmony between the tip and the brows. If things get worst, those people who had surgery may pass away from suffocation or brain death because of an anesthesia shock. That is why an operation is implanting an artifact, incising the skin or cutting bones. Therefore, plastic surgery contains many risks.

Lastly, a mental injury is another side effect of plastic surgery. For example, Costance Briscoe, 51, she decided to have plastic surgery. She said "I had it (the surgery) because my mother had for a very long time called me ugly, and I was conscious of my looks and I wanted to get rid of the ugliness," and "My mother would call me ugly, call me a dirty little whore, call me potato head... and Scarface." By just reading this article, she seemed she already suffer a mental injury.
The biggest mental problem is lack of confidence and sadness from failure of plastic surgery, and it can even bring on social anxiety. And if someone becomes worsened from an illness, that person may commit suicide.

In summary, plastic surgery has many weaknesses. It gives side effects such as inflammation, swelling and disharmony, medical accidents. At the same time, there are many people who lack
distinction after plastic surgery, because people want to be beautiful and gorgeous to satisfy an objective standard. Furthermore, there is anxiety, plastic surgery-poisoning which occurs due to endless desires. For this reasons, people should love their out appearance and have a confidence with themselves.

There was a movie based on a plastic surgery called "200 Pounds Beauty ". The story is simple. There was a woman who was overweight and unattractive. She had always wanted to be a pop-singer, but due to her appearance, she could only work as a faceless singer for a famous pop star. One day, after her extreme makeover (major plastic surgery), she took on a new identity and surprised others by her perfect body and face, but her deception soon became apparent. She was understood by the other with respect to her true love at the end.

Sadly for me, the movie represents the beauty of one's appearance as a mean of distinction and discrimination in the way we relate to one another in this society. I feel sorry and empathize with anyone going through troubled times because of their appearance. The risks of plastic surgery are always present, yet although, many of us hold to the false notion that plastic surgery changes one for the better. In this regard, I understand why people always look for the outer beauty because they always see beautiful and handsome people everyday on mass media but plastic surgery would not be the best solution for making or feeling themselves perfect. I believe that plastic surgery is not the solution to all appearance-related problems; thus I want to find my own inner beauty.
